HOW IT HAPPENED

The first set was very even as both teams had a number of errors throughout with both teams having the lead at some point in the set, but the Aggies were able to pull away in the set and secure a 25-23 win

The Matadors came back strong in set two starting with a six-to-one lead through junior defensive specialist Autumn Rojelio

CSUN kept the lead but a three-point run and a scorching kill from Olivia Utterback with an assist by Julia Ng tied the set eight-to-eight

Although CSUN quickly took their lead back forcing the Aggies to make too many errors and eventually winning the set 23-25

The Aggies took an early ten-to-five lead in set three and continued to extend through numerous three-point runs throughout the set

An eventual kill by Chandler with an assist from Starr secured the set-four-win for the Aggies

Early back-to-back aces by Light had the Aggies in a three-to-two leading position early in the fourth

CSUN fought back to a seven-to-seven tie with a kill by junior outside hitter Amaris Smith and would take the lead for the rest of the set winning 24-26 to force a fifth set

A final ace from freshman Ximena Cordero Barr would secure the Aggies a 15-6 fifth-set win and their seventh straight win in a row
