Aggies Finish First Leg of the Postseason at the Big West Multis Championship

FULLERTON – The UC Davis track and field team traveled to Fullerton for the first weekend of the Big West Conference Championships. This weekend marked the multis portion of the championship at the Titan Track Complex.
 
On the women's side, sophomore Jayme Hendrickson finished 13th with 4,325 points. Hendrickson's best finish was second in the high jump with a leap of 5-3.25". Freshman Hannah Crone finished 15th with 4,090 points. Crone's best event was the 800-meter run as she finished seventh with a time of 2:31.63.

Hendrickson improved by over 200 points in her second crack at the heptathlon at the championship meet. The sophomore posted four personal bests en route to cracking the program's all-time top-10. Crone, in her first championship, tallied four personal bests.
 
On the men's side, sophomore Ryan Ishibashi finished eighth with 5,008 points. Ishibashi's best finish was second in the pole vault with a clearance of 15-1.50. Ishibashi posted six personal bests in the grueling 10-event meet in his second appearance at the championship.
 
The Aggies will take part in the Big West Conference Championships next weekend in Fullerton. The two-day event will begin on Friday, May 12.
