LAST TIME OUT
UC Davis women's lacrosse made its return to UC Davis Health Stadium to host future PAC-12 opponent, Cal, on Saturday afternoon, but the Golden Bears managed the 17-12 victory.

The Aggies (7-5) struggled on the draw as Cal held a 20-13 advantage in that category. This allowed the Bears to create a multitude of scoring chances, totaling 38 shots while UC Davis mustered just 23. The hosts also committed 29 fouls and surrendered 12 free position shots in the contest.

Alex Agnew led the way with three goals and one assist, racking up her sixth hat trick of the year. Grace Gebhardt was a force on the offensive end with her game-high three assists while also chipping in with two goals. This marks the ninth multi-goal game for the sophomore.

ABOUT THE SUN DEVILS
Arizona State brings a 4-11 overall record into Sunday's contest. The Sun Devils have dropped three straight games, falling to 3-6 in PAC-12 action. The team's last win came on April 9 against Cal, grabbing a 15-6 win over the Golden Bears.

Kaylon Buckner leads the Sun Devils with 31 goals and eight assists this season. Mina Scott and Teagan Ng have also reached the 20-goal mark with 26 and 22 goals respectively. In goal, Katie Vahle has made 148 saves in her 14 starts.

SERIES HISTORY
UC Davis and Arizona State have met two times and the Sun Devils have come out on top in both matchups. The first meeting took place February of 2020 when ASU grabbed a 16-12 victory in Davis. In March of 2021, the Sun Devils defended home turf with their 19-14 win.

AGGIE MILESTONES
Two Aggies have reached historic feats in recent weeks. Ashley Laing recorded her 300th career save, becoming the fourth goalkeeper in UC Davis lacrosse history to achieve that milestone.
Grace Gebhardt recently grabbed her 100th draw control and currently sits at 121 for her career. Just a sophomore, Gebhardt is just four away from breaking into the top-10 all-time. Elizabeth Landry (2012-15) holds the program record for career draw controls with 253.

WELCOME TO THE PAC
UC Davis has accepted an invitation to join Pac-12 women's lacrosse as an affiliate member no later than the 2023-24 season.

San Diego State will also join the Aggies as affiliate members following a recommendation by the Pac-12 Council and approval by the Pac-12 Board of Directors at a recent meeting. UC Davis played without a conference in 2022 after the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation dropped lacrosse as a sponsored sport following the 2021 season. The Aggies faced five Pac-12 opponents in 2022, posting wins over Cal and Oregon while also going 1-1 against San Diego State.

NEXT UP
The Aggies conclude the 2023 season with Senior Day at UC Davis Health Stadium on April 29. First draw is scheduled for 12 p.m., with the senior day ceremonies taking place prior to the game.
