DAVIS, CALIF.– The UC Davis men's golf team finished the 2023 El Macero Classic presented by Griffin Soil Group and Preferred Capital Advisors in 12^th. Two Aggies placed in the top-20, which includes a top-10 seeding. UC Davis carded a 6-over 294 in the final-round and in total posted a three-round score of 8-over 872.
 
Lucas Carper once again paced for the Ags, as the junior finished the tournament tied for seventh. Carper carded five birdies in the final round and finished 1-under 71. In total the junior led the Ags with a three-round score of 6-under 210.
 
Junior Mark Stephens also finished in the top-20, as he placed tied for 17^th. Stephens stroked four birdies enroute to a 1-over 73 final round. Overall the junior had a three-round score of 1-under 215.
 
Darren Chiu finished the tournament tied for 58^th. The freshman carded a single birdie to finish the final round at 4-over 76. Overall Chiu posted a three-round score of 7-over 223.
 
Junior Jacob Westberg found himself tied for 68^th after the final day of play. Westberg carded four birdies, but shot 2-over 74 in the final round. In total, the junior posted a three-round score of 8-over 224.

Alejandro Nava rounds out the Ags and placed tied for 93^rd. The junior carded four birdies to post a final round score of 6-over 78. Nava finished the tournament with a three-round score of 17-over 233.
