STANFORD, Calif. – The UC Davis track & field team wrapped up its trip to the Bay Area as the Aggies competed in the second and final day of the Stanford Invitational on Saturday.
 
On the women's side, junior Kerrington Smith had the best finish of the day for the Aggies as she placed fourth in the triple jump with a jump of 12.11m (39' 8¾"). Senior Brena Videll finished ninth in the discus throw with a distance of 40.50m (132' 10"). The team of Smith, Maya Shinnick, Alexys Ford and Chelsea Daye (400m Relay) and Videll (hammer throw) each finished 10th in their respective events.
 
On the men's side, Nick Santos finished fifth in the triple jump with a leap of 13.44m (44' 1¼").
 
The Aggies return to the track next Saturday as they take part in the Brutus Hamilton Invitational hosted by Cal.
