LA QUINTA – The UC Davis men's golf team is in ninth place after two rounds of play at The Prestige. The Aggies fired a 3-over-287 on Tuesday at the par-71 Greg Norman Course at PGA West.
Lucas Carper and
Mark Stephens pace the Ags as they both finished the round in 19th place. Carper carded a 3-under-68 and led the Aggies with five birdies and an eagle on the par-5, 617-yard eighth. Stephens was even on the day and was in the red three times on the back-nine.
Alejandro Nava shot a 3-over-74 to sit in 38th place after two rounds. Nava birdied the par-4 ninth and the par-4 18
th.
Jacob Westberg follows in 45th place after a 3-over-74. The junior birdied the par-4 10
th.
Darren Chiu rounded out the Ags in 115th place with an 8-over-79.
In the individual tournament at The Golf Club at Terra Lago,
Daniel Kim is in 46
th place after carding a 10-over 82.
The second round did not conclude until Wednesday morning due to darkness. The third and final round will begin this morning with a shotgun start at 10:30 a.m.
