Davis, Calif. — UC Davis men's basketball will head to Corvallis as they take on the Oregon State Beavers Thursday night at Gill Coliseum for a 7:00 p.m. PT tip-off.

The all-time series between the two programs sits at 1-1, with UC Davis winning the most recent matchup in 2021 by a score of 71-64.
Oregon State is 3-0 at home this season and up to this point, has leaned on the sophomore trio of Jordan Pope, Tyler Bilodeau, and KC Ibekwe to produce 57% of their offense.
UC Davis will need to keep tapping into their pressure-filled defense to limit the Beavers, As the Aggies enter tomorrow ranked 5th in the country in turnovers forced. On the offensive side of things, Elijah Pepper sits atop the Big West in points per game and sixth in the country in scoring. Able to generate points from all over the floor, Pepper has found plenty of success from behind the arc, ranking fourth in the country in three-pointers made per game.
A swing factor to watch in tomorrow's contest will be the free-throw battle, as both the Aggies and Beavers rank among the top half of the country in free-throw attempts per game.
LAST TIME OUT
UC Davis dropped their most recent game against Causeway Rival Sacramento State, 69-63 in the 121st meeting between the Hornets and Aggies.
Despite the result, Elijah Pepper and Ty Johnson turned in strong performances against Sac State, with Pepper scoring a game-high 22 while Johnson scored 21 and dished out a game-high four assists. Johnson at one point against the Hornets, scored nine straight points for the Aggies, making most of his damage from the mid-range area.
Against the Hornets, Pepper moved into second place in program history for total career points, as he sits at 1,716 points, most recently passing former Aggie great, Corey Hawkins. Pepper needs just 106 more points this season to pass Audwin Thomas and become the program's all-time scoring leader.
ABOUT THE BEAVERS
The Beavers are led by head coach Wayne Tinkle and sit at 3-3 on the season to begin the 2023-24 campaign.
