Fueled by a brilliant offensive showing from Carl Daughtery Jr. and a balanced attack that featured five players in double figures, the Aggies maintained control through the stretch and iced the game at the charity stripe to advance.

- Carl Daughtery Jr. exploded for a game-high 24 points, leading the offensive charge by burying five 3-pointers. He also crashed the glass effectively, pulling down eight rebounds.
- Marcus Wilson provided a relentless attacking presence with efficiency all-night, finishing with 17 points, four assists, and three steals.
- Omer Suljanovic was a key contributor, adding 12 points and four rebounds to anchor the frontcourt rotation.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- UC Davis established its rhythm early in the first half, using defensive pressure to create transition opportunities. Back-to-back baskets midway through the half, including a layup by Daughtery Jr., gave the Aggies a double-digit 27-16 lead with under six minutes remaining until the break.
- UC Santa Barbara chipped away at the deficit by attacking the rim, but a late jumper by Fagbemi helped UC Davis carry a 34-31 advantage into the locker room.
- The Aggies opened the second frame with intent. Daughtery Jr. connected on a massive 3-pointer at the 15:55 mark to answer a Gauchos run, setting the tone for the half.
- Wilson and Suljanovic relentlessly attacked the paint, with Suljanovic finishing a critical layup at the 5:19 mark to extend the UC Davis lead back out to 10 points (62-52).
- Facing desperation, UC Santa Barbara connected on several late 3-pointers, including a pair from Aidan Mahaney, to cut the lead to two possessions in the final minute.
- The Aggies would respond by puttingthe ball in the hands of its veterans. Connor Sevilla stepped to the free-throw line on four separate possessions in the final 55 seconds, calmly sinking eight straight free throws alongside makes from Wilson and Isaiah Chappell to seal the 79-73 victory.
