CORVALLIS, Ore. -- UC Davis endured a tough shooting night in its 86-48 defeat to a talented Oregon State team that proved to be difficult to beat on its home floor.
The Aggies (1-3) had two players score in double figures, led by Megan Norris, who had 12 points. Evanne Turner tacked on 10 points and Tova Sabel added eight points.
With the first basket of the game, Turner ascended to 11th on the UC Davis all-time scoring list, passing Pele Gianotti by reaching 1,230 points for her career. The Fontana native is now just 13 points away from catching her head coach Jennifer Gross to place herself in the top-10.
The Aggies couldn't find rhythm on the offensive end and posted a field goal percentage of just 27% (17-of-63) for the night. The shooting woes were glaring from the perimeter as UC Davis made just three of its 19 attempts from three-point range. Oregon State's size was a huge factor in the matchup as the Beavers out-rebounded the Aggies 53-22 in the contest.

The hosts kept their foot on the gas in the second half, building a 69-23 advantage before UC Davis went on an 8-0 run, punctuated by from Norris' first three-ball of the night, to trim its deficit to 69-31 at the end of the third period. UC Davis knocked down two three-pointers in the quarter to score six of its 13 total points.
