DAVIS, Calif. — The UC Davis women's basketball team announced its 14-game nonconference schedule on Thursday. The Aggies will host five contests at University Credit Union Center beginning with their Nov. 2 season-opener against Jessup. Cal State Fullerton, Cal Baptist, Chico State and Montana will also visit Davis.
Nine of the Aggies' nonconference games will be played on the road or at neutral sites in seven different states with road contests slated at Boise State, Eastern Washington, Harvard, Northern Colorado, Pacific, Stanford and Utah Valley. UC Davis will also play New Mexico and Troy in neutral-site games at the Nugget Classic hosted by Nevada.
"Playing a number of road games against strong teams makes this a challenging and exciting nonconference schedule, and one I believe will help to prepare us for our first season in the Mountain West," head coach Jen Gross said.
The season's first road game will be Nov. 6 when the Aggies' visit Eastern Washington for the first-ever matchup between the teams followed two days later by a local trip to Stanford (Nov. 8) of the Power 4 Atlantic Coast Conference. The Aggies' visit to The Farm will be their fourth in as many campaigns.
In between home games against Cal State Fullerton (Nov. 12) and Cal Baptist (Nov. 20), UC Davis' third nonconference road outing will take them to Northern Colorado on Nov. 16 as the Aggies look to avenge a home loss to the Bears last season.
Two days after its home game against Cal Baptist, the Aggies travel to Boise State (Nov. 22) followed by a trip to the Nugget Classic for neutral site contests in Reno against Troy (Nov. 27) and New Mexico State (Nov. 29).
The first half of December has the Aggies playing all three of their games in Northern California, beginning with a Dec. 2 contest at Pacific before back-to-back home Sundays against Chico State (Dec. 6) and Montana (Dec. 13).
UC Davis will finish its nonconference slate with road contests at Utah Valley (Dec. 17) and Harvard (Dec. 20).
The Aggies will be in their first season in the Mountain West in 2026-27. The conference portion of the regular-season schedule will be announced at a later date, while the women's schedule for the 2027 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Basketball Championships at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas is set for March 7-10. All 10 of the league's teams will compete in the event with the top six seeds earning quarterfinal byes. Championship coverage will air across CBS, CBS Sports Network and MW+. Tip times and network designations will be released at a later date.
