Bremerton, Wash. — The Aggies finished off the Husky Invitational with a 13th place finish. Over the entirety of the tournament UC Davis carded a 906 (+42) after shooting a combined 305 on day three.
Washington State (+4) was able to capture the honors of team champion, while USC's Jackson Rivera (-8) came away with the individual championship.
Lucas Carper continued his impressive play during day two as he shot a 74 (+2) to pace the Aggies yet again. Carper was able to record three birdies on the day, one on hole 6, a 563 yard par 5, another on the 553 yard par 5 at hole 11, and his final one coming on hole 15's 357 yard par 4. Carper's standout performance placed him tied for third among all individuals as he finished the tournament at 3-under-par.
Mark Stephens and Darren Chiu both put together strong rounds on the tournament's last day as well. Stephens was able to put behind his first round score of 81 (+9) by following it up with a 75 (+3) today giving him scores of 75 on both rounds two and three. Stephens carded four birdies on the final day. These birdie efforts came on hole 1's 466 yard, par 4, hole 7's 462 yard, par 4, hole 11's 553 yard, par 5, and finally on hole 15's 357 yard, par 4.
Chiu was able to card a 74 (+2) and finished this tournament just like the USF Intercollegiate by recording his best round during his final 18 holes. Chiu collected three birdies and also shot his first collegiate eagle. The eagle came on hole 4, a 363 yard, par 4.
Jacob Westberg and Alejandro Nava rounded out the Aggies lineup this weekend. Both carded one birdie in the final round of play with Westberg's coming by result of a three shot effort on the 358 yard, par 4, while Nava three shotted on the 305 yard, par 4, on hole 18.
Logan Green tied for 33rd place on the individual side of the Husky Invitational after shooting a 73 on the final day. Green carded two birdies on day three and finished the tournament with four in total. Green also accumulated 34 pars over the course of 54 holes.
