NORMAN, Okla. --
Thomas Hutchison added yet another accolade to his stellar 2021-22 campaign, as the senior was named to the PING All-West Region Team, the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced.
Hutchison, who capped off his record-breaking UC Davis career at the NCAA Stockton Regional earlier this month becomes the first Aggie since
Matt Hansen in 2014 to earn the all-region honor.
The San Jose, Calif., native was the first UC Davis men's golfer to be named Big West Player of the Year twice, also earning the accolade in 2019.
Hutchison medaled three times in 12 tournaments played this season, including taking home the Big West Conference Tournament individual title to help lead the Ags to the championship. The senior was also tabbed to the All-Big West first team for the third time in his career, joining Austin Graham as just the second Aggie in school history to do so.
The senior boasted eight top-10s this season, including six in the top-5. The senior fired 18 rounds in the 60s that was topped off by a school-record 62 at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational this past fall. Hutchison entered the NCAA Stockton Regional as the 21st-ranked collegiate golfer, according to Golfstat, and finished his college career with a scoring average of 69.69.
