FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The UC Davis track & field team capped off its 2022 season at the NCAA West Prelims. The Aggies were represented by Matthew Okonkwo, Marlene Gutierrez, Marin Chamberlin and Brooke Starn.

Okonkwo was the first Aggie to toe the line and did so in impressive fashion, breaking a 15-year-old school record in the 200m. Just at the legal wind limit of +2.0, Okonkwo clocked a 21.07 to finished 33^rd overall.

Also on the track, Starn clocked a 35:25.30 in the 10,000m to place 39^th. In the field, Gutierrez unleashed the hammer 197-5 (60.19m) to finish 22^nd, while Chamberlin cleared 12-6 (3.81m) in the pole vault to place 34^th.
