SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – The UC Davis women's golf team recorded a 30-over 318 at the first round of the Big West Conference Championships to sit t-7th, Sunday at the San Luis Obispo Country Club.

Freshman Naomi Danner carded two birdies to fire a 5-over 77 to lead the Aggies in round one t-17th. Classmate Abby Leighton followed t-22^nd with a 6-over 78 on the strength of a 1-over 37 on the front nine.

Newcomer Marina Mata opened the championship t-32^nd with a 9-over 81. Classmate Elle Rastvortseva is 10-over (82) to follow t-36^th, while senior Andrea Gomez Lloret is in 42^nd with a 14-over 86.

The Aggies will open the second round at the par-72, 6,113-yard course at 7:30 a.m.
