Senior night and record watch highlight regular season's final week for Aggies

Davis, Calif. - The final week of the regular season bring multiple chances to celebrate for the Aggies. UC Davis will try to help head coach Jennifer Gross to her 200th career win, while Saturday's pregame will feature a ceremony to honor seniors Cierra Hall, Kayla Konrad and Sage Stobbart. In addition, Thursday's game host Housing Day by ASUCD with various local housing options tabling on the upper concourse. Thursday's game will also feature a halftime ceremony for Vice Chancellor Kelly Ratliff as she retires after 35 years with the university. 

With UC San Diego not eligible for the Big West Conference Tournament, UC Davis also currently stand to bypass a first round game next week with the final two regular season games presenting more opportunity to improve in the standings.

ABOUT THE BEACH: Long Beach State enter the week at 18-6 and 11-5, enjoying its best season ever under head coach Jeff Cammon at third in the standings...The Beach lead the Big West in scoring defense at 56.3 points per game...They lead the conference in assist-to-turnover ration at 1.08, the only team better than UC Davis...They average a Big West-best 12.04 steals per game...The Beach's Maddi Utti is the only other Big West player besides Cierra Hall to rank in the top six in points per game, rebounds per game, and field goal percentage. 

SERIES NOTES: UC Davis leads the all-time series 21-19...The last time out, UC Davis won 68-58 on Jan. 29 in Long Beach...The Aggies led 35-17 at half time of that game as UC Davis had four players score in double figures...UC Davis has won the last three meetings and eight of the last nine. 

ABOUT THE TITANS: Cal State Fullerton enters the week at 10-15 overall and 5-10 in the Big West...The Titans have lost two straight and six of their last eight...2.5 games back of seventh place UC Davis, the Titans are assured of a first round game in the Big West Tournament next Tuesday...Despite the results, Cal State Fullerton ranks second in the Big West in team field goal percentage at 41 percent.

SERIES NOTES: UC Davis leads the all-time series 22-12...The last time out, the Aggies fell 65-69 in Fullerton on Jan. 27...UC Davis led by one at the half of that game but the Titans outscored it in the third quarter 22-15...The Aggies won nine straight meetings between 2015 to 2020 but are 1-2 over the last three. 

ALL SHE DOES IS WIN: With 199 wins to her name, Head Coach Jennifer Gross stands just one win shy of becoming only the fifth head coach in Big West Conference history to hit the 200 victory plateau as a member of the league and, with 114 Big West triumphs.

MOVIN' ON UP: Yet another big week in the scoring column for Hall continued to move the Cypress, Calif., native up the UC Davis all-time scoring list. With 15 points on Thursday, Hall moved into 8th on the all-time scoring list with 1,277 points, passing Ellen Porshneva's 1,251. She'll have a chance to move into seventh this week, a spot currently held by Alyson Doherty with 1,308 points from 2012-16. Last week, Hall surpassed her head coach for 10th on the all-time list. Gross previously held the 10th spot with 1,243 career points.
