Davis, Calif. - UC Davis wrapped up opening weekend on Sunday afternoon, falling 11-1 to Saint Mary's after playing two games at Dobbins Stadium on Friday and Saturday.
Jonah Henrickson went 2-3 with a third inning home run that tied the game at one and
Nathan Peng,
Nick Leehey and
Luke Piazza had a hit apiece. It was Henrickson's first career home run and bumped his season average to .333 with a 1.233 OPS.
Nolan Meredith got the start for the Aggies, going four innings before giving way to
Daniel Carrion for two innings.
Nico Ryder and
Nate Lemos each pitched a scoreless inning of relief.
Meredith allowed just two runs through four innings before the Gaels (3-0) struck for eight runs in the fifth.
UC Davis (0-3) return to Dobbins Stadium on Tuesday to face San Francisco at 2 p.m. They're slated to complete the season series with Saint Mary's on Mar. 1 in Moraga.
