River Hills, Wisconsin — The UC Davis men's golf team was in 14th place after one round of play at the Marquette Intercollegiate at Milwaukee Country Club. The Aggies were 19-over-par, as Lucas Carper shined for UC Davis.
After one round, Carper found himself tied for second place, trailing only the leader Luke Gutschewski from Iowa State. Carper's score of 68 got him to 2-under-par on a very difficult Milwaukee Country Club Course. Carper picked up four birdies over his round of 68.
The second round of play has been suspended due to darkness and will resume tomorrow morning at 9:00AM CDT.
Through the 16 holes of play for the Aggies, UC Davis found success in the form of
Mark Stephens as he is currently even-par through 15 holes, adding four birdies in the process.
UC Davis has dropped to 15th place through 16 holes of second round play and upon completion, will move on to round three.
