The Aggies then battled Eastern College Athletic Conference rival Delaware State in the opening round of the conference championships, falling by a narrow 9-7 margin. UC Davis returns 11 of the 12 riders that showed at the conference championships, including All-America honorable mention selection Carly Sweeney (flat) — who was also named the ECAC Freshman of the Year on the flat — and all-conference selection Ella Longo, who was named to both the all-flat and all-fences squads.

Both Risa Yamada and Leslie Fregoso tallied three goals and an assist last week to lead an offense that tied a season high with its four goals against the Matadors and has outscored the opposition 13-3 during its winning streak — which stands as the program's longest since winning five straight from Aug. 24 - Sept. 6, 2015. Opening league play at 2-0 for the first since 2017 (a year that saw the Aggies start 3-0-1 in the Big West), UC Davis is tied atop the league table with Long Beach State and Cal Poly, which also opened with two wins last week.
