UC Davis Athletics Celebrates 2026 Cal Aggie Athletics Hall Of Fame Class

DAVIS, Calif. – UC Davis Athletics celebrated its newest Hall of Fame class Friday evening, welcoming the 2026 inductees and honorees into the Cal Aggie Athletics Hall of Fame during a special ceremony at the UC Davis ARC Ballroom.

The evening brought together former student-athletes, coaches, family, friends and members of the UC Davis community to recognize a group whose accomplishments and contributions have left a lasting mark on Aggie Athletics.

"Our Cal Aggie Athletics Hall of Fame celebration is an opportunity to recognize the individuals and teams who have helped shape the proud history of UC Davis Athletics," said Director of Athletics Rocko DeLuca. "This year's class represents different generations of Aggies, but they share a commitment to excellence and a lasting impact on our university. It was especially meaningful to bring so many members of the Aggie family together to celebrate their accomplishments and the legacy they've created."

Kim Newlin served as emcee for the evening, guiding guests through a program that featured induction videos, award presentations and conversations with the newest Hall of Famers. Individual inductees were joined on stage by members of the Aggie community who helped reflect on their careers, accomplishments and connections to UC Davis.

The 2026 Hall of Fame class included Erinn Beattie (track and field), Chelsea Bigelow (field hockey), Keelan Doss (football), Megan Heneghan (women's tennis), G.P. Muhammad (football) and Sandy Simpson (women's basketball, non-participant category), along with the 1990 NCAA Division II national championship women's tennis team (Head Coach Pam-Gill Fisher; Assistant Coach Pam Maroni; Team Members: Mindy Edwards, Heather King, Melissa Minkin, Neha Naik, Jennifer Newman, Sandra Smith, Reagan Solt and Alison Vidal).

The evening also recognized Marci Porter Lucier with the Aggie Legacy Award for her longstanding connection and contributions to UC Davis Athletics, while Dr. Danika Bannasch and Pint received Special Recognition.

The ceremony served not only as a celebration of the newest class, but also as an opportunity to connect generations of Aggies and recognize the history that continues to shape UC Davis Athletics today.

The Cal Aggie Athletics Hall of Fame honors distinguished student-athletes, coaches, teams and individuals whose achievements and contributions have made a lasting impact on UC Davis Athletics.
