STANFORD, Calif. -- Junior
Ryman Crone moved himself into seventh in the UC Davis outdoor track & field record book with his time of three minutes, 47.69 seconds in the men's 1,500 meters, highlighting a small crew of Aggie middle distance runners competing on Day 2 of the Stanford Invitational Saturday.
Crone's time was good for fourth place in the field, 10 places ahead of teammate
Nicholas Brichta (4:00.01).
Anaya Ward led a trio of UC Davis women at the meet, placing seventh in the 800 at 2:15.00.
Sierra Atkins (4:28.51) and
Eva Goodisson (4:31.52) represented the Aggies in the women's 1,500.
The Stanford Invite dates back to 1975, although this year's event was the first to only feature collegiate runners.
UC Davis takes a weekend off from competition, returning to action at the Sacramento State Invitational on April 17.
