DAVIS, Calif. – For the first time since Feb. 28 when it hosted Cal Poly, UC Davis will compete in a Big West Conference match when it heads to Southern California this weekend for a pair of duals. After opening the weekend with an 11 a.m. matchup on Saturday at Cal State Fullerton, the Aggies will head to CSUN the following day for a 1:30 p.m. contest at CSUN.

A
live video stream is available for UC Davis' dual against the Matadors.

The Aggies are the last of five straight opponents to visit Titan Courts; after defeating UC San Diego, 6-0, Cal State Fullerton dropped a close 4-3 battle to Fresno State six days later. The Titans' homestand continued with shutout victories against a pair of non-Division I opponents in Fresno Pacific and Azusa Pacific, and will end against UC Davis — the first of seven straight duals against league opponents.

In their lone BWC match, CSF won every singles match, with the final one in action ending prematurely once the Titans officially won that dual against UCSD.

Another team currently enjoying a lengthy homestand is CSUN, a team that defeated Sacramento State, 6-1 on Wednesday in the first of four straight taking place at the Matador Tennis Complex.

Prior to its meeting with the Aggies, Santa Clara will swing through the Valley for a non-conference event.
The Matadors' dual against UC Davis, like Cal State Fullerton, is the first of seven straight Big West contests leading up to the conference's year-end tournament, hosted by UC Irvine at Orange County Great Park.

Leading up to its season-long homestand, CSUN defeated Azusa Pacific, 7-0, before falling to Fresno State last Sunday by a 6-1 result. In those duals, freshman Magdalena Hedrzak posted a 2-0 record for the Matadors by winning both singles matchups in straight-set fashion.
