AGGIE STORYLINES…
• With the two victories over Long Beach State, Head Coach JENNIFER GROSS claimed career wins No. 179 and No. 180 — moving her into fifth place on the Big West Conference all-time wins list, passing Hawai'i's Vince Goo (179 wins from 1987-96)
• Gross now stands 48 overall wins shy of former UC Riverside coach John Margaritis for fourth, and four league triumphs shy of Goo for sixth on the Big West wins list.
• Five of UC Davis' seven wins have come by double figures, four of those five by 15 points or more.
#PROTECTTHEPAV: The Aggies are a combined 52-7 at The Pavilion during their championship streak (dating back to 2016-17), having won 12 of their last 13 on their home floor. UC Davis has posted a winning record at home in each of the last seven seasons entering 2020-21.
• In limiting Long Beach State to just 29 percent from the field in game two, it marked the second time this season that the Aggies have held an opponent to under 30 percent from the field this year.
• UC Davis also held LBSU to just 19 percent from beyond the arc in that second game – the fifth time the Aggies have limited a foe to under 30 percent three-point shooting, and the third under 20 percent.
• On the flip side, UC Davis has shot better than 40 percent in seven of eight games this year.
• The Aggies have hit 10-or-more three-pointers four times this season – including each of the last three games and a school-record 17 in the opener against UC San Diego.
• The 11 steals against Long Beach State in the series finale were the most since UC Davis had 12 at CSUN on March 5 of last season.
• UC Davis junior SAGE STOBBART was one of 15 student-athletes from across the country named to the watch list for the 2021 Naismith Women's Defensive Player of the Year award on Jan. 26.
• Currently playing overseas in Poland, alumna MORGAN BERTSCH has been signed to a training camp contract with the WNBA's Connecticut Sun.
• Incoming freshmen SYDNEY BURNS (Wilsonville, Ore.) and MARLEY LANGI (Redwood City, Calif.) were nominees for the 2021 McDonald's All-American Games teams.
CIERRA HALL was named the Big West Conference Player of the Week for the second time in three weeks on Feb. 15.
• Hall hit her first 13 free throws before coming up short with her final attempt in game two against Long Beach State, ending her school-record run of consecutive free throws at 34 -- breaking Colleen Turnbull's record of 27 set from Jan. 4-25, 2003
• Now at 34-for-35 from the line for the year, Hall ranks No. 1 in the NCAA in free throw percentage, leading second-place Dana Evans of Louisville (70-for-74, .946)
• Senior MACKENZIE TRPCIC finished with a season-high 13 points in game two at Long Beach State for her fifth double-digit performance of the season (had eight all of 2019-20).
• The five assists at LBSU marked the 19th time Trpcic has finished with five-or-more helpers in a game in her Aggie career.
• With 180 career assists entering the week, Trpcic is 19 helpers shy of Morgan Bertsch (2015-19) for 10th on program's Division I career list.
• With 72 blocks in her career, Stobbart ranks ninth on the school's career list, closing in on Ellen Porshneva (2003-06, 2007-08), who is next on the list in eighth with 80 swats.
