STOCKTON, CA --Elijah Pepper scored 25 points, Ezra Manjon added 20 and the Aggies rolled past Pacific 77-67 on Sunday afternoon.
UC Davis improved to 6-3 with the win as Sunday marked the penultimate game in the Aggies' non-conference schedule.
It was the second time this season that Pepper and Manjon have each scored at least 20 points and the second straight game Manjon has done so. Caleb Fuller went 3-5 from beyond the arc and added 13 and Christian Anigwe added 10 to give UC Davis four in double figures. Manjon also had seven rebounds and four assists to lead the Aggies across the board.
The Aggies went 8-17 from three and shot 58 percent from the field, the third straight game they've shot at least 50 percent as they pushed their win streak to four games. UC Davis also won the rebounding battle for the third time in its last four games at 29-23 on the glass on Sunday.
After getting out to an early 14-9 lead, UC Davis went on an 8-0 run with 14:45 left in the first half, culminating in a three from Pepper, to increase its lead to 22-9. The Aggies went on to lead nearly wire-to-wire and led by as many as 26 after a Fuller three with 16:10 to go in the game.
The Aggies have more tuneup before the Big West Conference slate begins with Portland coming to University Credit Union Center on Dec. 22 before kicking off conference play on Dec. 28 against UC Riverside.
