Aggies unveil 2019 youth camp & clinic schedule

DAVIS, Calif. — With one youth clinic already in the books for 2019, the UC Davis field hockey program is scheduled to host its next youth clinic on Mar. 16 with an Elite Clinic and May Clinic to follow on Apr. 5 and May 3, respectively. After hosting its annual 7v7 tournament (14U, 16U, 19U) on April 6th and 7th, the Aggies will wrap up the summer with a Summer Day Camp and an Elite Overnight Camp offered in July. All clinics and camps are hosted on the campus of UC Davis at the Aggie Field Hockey Facility in Davis, Calif. 
 
Attendees are encouraged to register as soon as possible to secure their spot.
 
Designed for players of all ability levels, attendees are taught to develop their skill set and strategic understanding of the game in addition to strengthening their fundamentals in preparation for competing at the high school, club, or collegiate level. Goalkeeper-specific training is also provided at and goalies must provide their own equipment.
 
The annual 7v7 Tournament, scheduled to take place at the Aggie Field Hockey Facility on April 6th and 7th, is still open for registration. To secure your spot or find out more information, click here.

U14 7v7 (April 7th)

Registration Deadline: April 1st
(Both individual player and team registration available for all clinics)
 
Please make sure to bring:
- water
- 2 color jerseys/pinnies (light and dark)
- turf shoes or sneakers (no cleats)
- shin guards/mouth guard
- stick
- goalkeeper must bring their own equipment
 
 
UC Davis Field Hockey Clinics
 
MARCH CLINIC - March 16th (Ages 6-18)
Location: Aggie Field Hockey Facility
Time: 8:30-10:30 a.m. with optional "Aggie for a Day" addition for 12-18 year olds
Summary: Two-hour clinic with UC Davis coaching staff, groups for players aged 6-11 and 12-18. 
 
ELITE APRIL CLINIC - April 5th (Ages 12-18)
Location: Aggie Field Hockey Facility 
Time: 4:30-6:30 p.m.
Summary: Two-hour clinic with UC Davis coaching staff in addition to Q&A panel with members of the UC Davis field hockey team. 
 
MAY CLINIC - May 3rd (Ages 10-18)
Location: Aggie Field Hockey Facility
Time: 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Summary: Two-hour clinic with UC Davis coaching staff in addition to Q&A panel with members of the UC Davis field hockey team. 
 
 
UC Davis Field Hockey Camps
 
SUMMER DAY CAMP - July 8th-12th, 2019
Location: Aggie Field Hockey Facility
Summary: Receive technical and tactical instruction from UC Davis coaches and student-athletes to take your game to the next level. The camp is ideal for players aged 5-18- skill groups will be determined according to age and ability level.
Time: 8:45 a.m. - 12 p.m.
 
SUMMER DAY CAMP & JUNIOR AGGIE AFTERNOON - July 8th-12th
Location: Aggie Field Hockey Facility
Summary: Ideal for campers ages 5-12. In addition to Day Camp (listed above) campers are welcome to stay for supervised games, activities, and more!
Time: 12 p.m. - 3 p.m.
*All Junior Aggie Afternoon campers MUST bring their own lunch
 
ELITE OVERNIGHT CAMP - July 14th-17th
Location: Aggie Field Hockey Facility
Summary: This competitive hockey camp will provide technical and tactical instruction for players to improve their game and increase their contribution to their team. Campers will be housed in Regan Hall on the campus of UC Davis, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner served on campus as well. Commuters are also welcome to register, and will receive lunch and dinner each day. Skill groups will be determined by age and ability.
Time: All Day*
Registration Deadline: May 31st (Early Bird), July 7th
 
Check-in: July 14th at 11:00am
Check-out: July 17th at 12:00pm
