RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. – Junior managerial economics major

Madison Wood each recorded victories during Monday's match play at the Lamkin Invitational by matching 3&2 results over Elin Kumlin and Gracen Blount, and senior sociology – organizational studies major
Samantha Hutchison defeated Tania Nunez, 2&1, to help UC Davis defeat Central Arkansas, 3-2, during Monday's match play at the Farms Golf Club in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.
The Aggies' first victory of the tournament took place following 18 holes of stroke play to determine seeding for the final three rounds at this tournament, hosted by San Diego State.
Wood led all Aggies with a 5-over 77 — a top-15 total — and her team finished tied for 11th with Portland State with a team score of 328.
After opening the week with a win versus the Sugar Bears, the Aggies will face Augusta University and end their weekend in San Diego on Wednesday against Portland State. Both rounds will begin at 8:30 a.m.

Since the 2005-06 season, its first as an intercollegiate program at UC Davis, women's golf quickly earned a reputation as one of the most successful teams in the Big West Conference.
