Three Aggies move up the leader board on day two

Christine Danielsson the biggest mover, jumping 25 spots after day two

STANFORD, Calif. — Senior Christine Danielsson shot an even-par 71 on Saturday to make a huge move up the leaderboard, improving her position by 25 spots and end the second round in a tie for 54th to highlight the UC Davis women's golf team's second day at the Stanford Intercollegiate hosted by Condoleezza Rice at the Stanford Golf Course.

Oregon, who entered the day in third, shot a 6-under 278 to move into first place, entering the final day of play with a three-shot lead over day one leader Arizona State. The Sun Devils' Linn Grant and Arizona's Vivian Hou are tied atop the leader board with identical 7-under scores, both shooting 4-under on the day.

After finishing 1-over on the back nine, Danielsson found a groove on the front, posting birdies on the first, third, and seventh holes, and finishing the back at 1-under en route to her final score.

The senior wasn't the only Aggie making a move up the leader board on Saturday, as junior Madison Wood finished with a 3-over 74 and moved up four spots into a tie for 61st at 8-over par for the tournament, while freshman Jackie Lucena jumped 10 spots into a tie for 69th following a 2-over 73, standing at 9-over par for the tournament.

Senior Yoonhee Kim finished with a 77 on Saturday and stands in a tie for 76th at 11-over par, while classmate Rei Nakatani stands in a tie for 86th.

The final round of play begins on Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. Live scoring can be found at http://results.golfstat.com/public/leaderboards/gsnav.cfm?pg=team&tid=19969.
