DAVIS, Calif. — After visiting Vermont, Virginia, and Ohio, the Aggies are slated to cap off their month-long road stint in Muncie, Ind. tomorrow (Sept. 24) squaring off against host Ball State at 10 a.m. (PT)/ 1 p.m. (ET) at BSU Turf Field.

ABOUT BALL STATE
The Cardinals (0-7) are still looking for their first win of 2018… Dropped a close battle,1-2, to Lehigh on Sept. 8 in a neutral-site match at Ohio State… Faced nationally ranked Ohio State earlier this season, with Michigan and Louisville still ahead… Opened Mid-American Conference play against Miami University (Ohio) in their most recent game, falling 0-4… Redshirt junior forward Michelle Shampton leads the Cardinals with a team-high three points on a goal and an assist… Sophomore goalkeeper Grace Chavez (0-7) has seen all 490 minutes between the pipes for Ball State, logging 55 saves and garnering a .647 save percentage.

SERIES NOTES
The Aggies and the Cardinals share the overall series record, 1-1… After UC Davis recorded a narrow one-goal victory, 3-2, back in 2010, the Cardinals returned the favor posting a 3-2 win over the Aggies on Sept. 25, 2013… Monday's game marks the third straight meeting at BSU Turf Field between the two squads.

LEADING LADIES
Freshman midfielder Eline van den Bosch leads the UC Davis offense with a team-high 10 points on four goals and two assists, with 15 of her 27 shots registered on-goal. Junior forward Lauren Gengarella trails van den Bosch with seven points after logging her third goal of the season against Vermont (Sept. 14). Fellow junior Tatiana Arias follows behind with six points on the season so far ahead of redshirt senior forward Nica Taglieri (5 points) who set a new single-game program record with three assists in the Aggies 3-0 shutout victory over Central Michigan (Sept. 21).

Redshirt sophomore Sara Janetzky logged her first career goal to give the Aggies a 1-0 advantage against the Chippewas (Sept. 21), while freshman Siena Dwyer notched her first collegiate goal in the Aggies' overtime win against La Salle (Sept. 8). Dwyer then logged her second career goal the following day when fellow freshmen Isabella Porco and Brooke Sanchez notched their first collegiate goals to help UC Davis to a 3-0 win over Davidson (Sept. 9).

Van den Bosch, Korthouwer, Porco, and Potente along with sophomore transfer Audrey Matthew and freshmen Shannon Wong, Vinamar Sidhu, Siena Dwyer, and Brooke Sanchez all made their career debuts in the first game of the season vs. Temple on Aug. 24.

Recycled Notes

VAN DEN BOSCH SNAGS ROOKIE OF THE WEEK NOD (8/28)
Freshman midfielder Eline van den Bosch garnered her first career America East Conference Rookie of the Week award after helping UC Davis to its first 2-0 start since 2012 thanks to a pair of one-goal wins over Temple (Aug. 24) and Providence (Aug. 26)… Van den Bosch recorded her first career goal against the Owls to tie the game at two-all en route to a 3-2 win for the Aggies… Notched a three-point game against the Friars, scoring her second collegiate goal—also tying the game, 2-2—and tallying her first assist… The award marks the first of the season for the Aggies.

2018 ROSTER AT A GLANCE
With nine incoming freshman, seven returning starters, and a three-member senior class, the Aggies skew young this year as they begin the 2018 season with 17 underclassmen on their roster of 24.

The Aggies will also welcome back redshirt sophomore, Sara Janetzky, who suffered a season-ending injury in 2017. An America East All-Rookie Team selection as a freshman, Janetzky was one of five Aggies to start in all 18 games on the schedule.

"We are young, but we have more depth than we've had in the past," said Broady. "Stephanie Hussey, who is entering her third season as an assistant coach for the Aggies, has been working tirelessly with our forward line to create movement, quick shots, and scrappiness."

"Newcomers Siena Dwyer, Brooke Sanchez, and Shannon Wong add a quickness and fearlessness that is hard to defend, while in the midfield, we have players who have been working to develop the attack and build the play," Broady said. "Madison Theodore, Eline van den Bosch, Nicola Prebble, and Milou Korthouwer will not only transition the ball to the attacking third, they will also sustain a team attack," Broady added.

"Defensively, we have experience with senior back Kelley Kramer and junior goalkeeper Chelsea Bigelow, in addition to newcomers Audrey Matthew and Isabella Porco, who are playing as veterans and will make entering the circle a challenge."
