SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The UC Davis men's tennis faced a tough loss against Big West Conference school UC Santa Barbara after the home team garnered both the doubles point and all six singles matches, shutting out the visiting team at the Recreation Center Courts on Friday afternoon.
The Aggies drop to a 6-15 overall record for the 2018 dual season.
UC Santa Barbara sealed the doubles point early on after winning first at the No. 3 position, and then the No. 2 position.
Unfortunately, UC Davis could not keep up with the Gaucho powerhouse, and the home team went on to clinch all six singles match wins and eventually the 7-0 team win over the Aggies.
The UC Davis men's tennis returns to action to play in their final match of the week, which will be against Big West school Cal Poly at the Mustang Tennis Complex on Saturday afternoon.
