2021: ITA SCHOLAR-ATHLETE... BIG WEST CONFERENCE ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM... ALL-BIG WEST FIRST TEAM SINGLES… ALL-BIG WEST FIRST TEAM DOUBLES… BIG WEST MEN’S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK (3/17)… Won six of 11 singles matches played throughout the 2021 spring season, all at No. 1… Earned Big West Player of the Week accolades by winning both singles matches played throughout the Golden State Invitational, a tournament co-hosted by UC Davis and Sacramento State, against San Francisco and New Mexico State at the No. 1 position that helped UC Davis collect a pair of 4-3 victories and extend its current winning streak to six at that point of the season… Against New Mexico State, he and David Goulak helped the Aggies win the doubles point; by winning both matches played that day, Thamma was directly involved in two of UC Davis' team points… Split his 16 doubles matches played, all at No. 1… All eight doubles wins were earned with Goulak as his partner… Won three straight doubles matches when they swept the team’s San Diego road trip: at San Diego State (3/5), at Point Loma (3/6) and at UC San Diego (3/7)… Won their last two doubles matchups of the season at UC Riverside (4/23) and at the Big West Men’s Tennis Championship vs. Hawai’i (4/30)… Would have been another three-match doubles win streak if the round did not end with them leading 5-2, when the team point was officially clinched… Collected singles victories at Santa Clara (2/18), Nevada (2/25), at Point Loma (3/6), San Francisco (3/12), New Mexico State (3/13) and at UC Riverside (4/23)… The team did not participate in any fall events due to COVID-19.

2019-20: ITA ALL-AMERICAN DOUBLES QUALIFIER… ITA ALL-AMERICAN SINGLES PREQUALIFIER… PRESEASON ITA DOUBLES NATIONALLY RANKED… Posted a 12-12 overall, 4-7 dual singles record, competing at No. 1… Won back-to-back three set matches over UTSA and Saint Mary’s, helping the Aggies open the season undefeated at the Marya Welch Tennis Center… Dominated Santa Clara’s Jesus Barajas 6-3, 6-2 to lift the Aggies to just the third win over the Broncos since 1996… Had just won the second set over Washington’s No. 43 Jack Davis when the match was clinched… After the 2020 season, sits third in the record book with 17 career wins at No. 1… In the fall, participated in second career ITA All-American Championships, this time in Prequalifying singles… Won first two rounds at the All-American tournament in straight sets… Reached the semifinal of the Aggie Invitational A Flight after defeating Portland’s Kostya Nesterenko… Continued his doubles excellence with a 14-9 overall, 6-5 dual record, all at the top spot in the lineup… Went 11-6 overall with primary partner David Goulak… Came out firing against Pacific, winning 6-0 over Ross Watson/Phil Hjorth… Teamed with Chethan Swanson to beat Santa Clara’s Arthur Neuhaus/Vasileios Iliopoulous to clinch the doubles point over the Broncos… In the fall, earned a preseason national ranking of No. 43 — highest in program history… Became the first doubles team to qualify for the ITA All-American Championships in UC Davis Division I history, falling to Texas A&M’s Hady Habib and Pranav Kumar in three sets in Qualifying… Earned UC Davis’ first No. 1 seed at the ITA Northwest Regional alongside partner Goulak… Won the Krammer Classic tournament with Goulak for the second consecutive year, defeating teammates Dariush Jalali and Chethan Swanson in the quarterfinal… Currently No. 8 in the UC Davis record book with 57 career doubles wins… Remainder of the spring dual season was canceled on Mar. 12 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

2018-19: BIG WEST SECOND TEAM SINGLES… BIG WEST FIRST TEAM DOUBLES… ITA ALL-AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIPS SINGLES QUALIFIER… ORACLE/ITA DOUBLES NATIONALLY RANKED… ITA ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM… UC DAVIS TEAM CAPTAIN… Posted an 11-13 overall, 5-8 dual singles record at the Nos. 1-2 spots, and a 21-5 overall, 12-4 dual doubles record, all at the No. 1 position… Won first round of qualifying in three sets at the ITA All-American Championships over Indiana’s Bennett Crane… Posted tournament match wins over Cal and Cal Poly… In the spring, was the lone Aggie to win a singles match at Santa Clara, defeating Jesus Barajas 4-6, 6-0, 7-6 (8)… Pushed No. 6 Standord’s #39 Alexandre Rotsaert to three sets… Last three dual matches went unfinished… Partnered with David Goulak to win a team-best 21 matches overall, and went 12-4 in duals… Played every doubles match at the No. 1 position… In the fall, claimed doubles titles at the St. Mary’s Fall Invite and at the prestigious Jack Kramer Classic, and advanced to the Round of 16 at the ITA Northwest Regional… Won nine of the first ten dual matches to start the season… Recorded victories over No. 5 USC’s Brandon Holt and Logan Smith to lead Aggies to the doubles point against the Trojans for the first time in program history, as well as No. 6 Stanford’s Axel Geller and Alexandre Rotsaert… Pair of Pac-12 wins boosted the duo to UC Davis’ first ITA national doubles ranking since 2011, debuting at No. 78 on Apr. 2… Reached career-high ranking of No. 66 (Apr. 16), and finished the year ranked No. 4 in the ITA Northwest Region. 

2017-18: BIG WEST FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR… BIG WEST FIRST TEAM SINGLES… BIG WEST FIRST TEAM DOUBLES… BIG WEST ATHLETE OF THE WEEK (Feb. 21)… Became the second UC Davis men’s tennis player in as many years to be named the Big West’s top freshman… Posted a 21-12 overall, 14-9 dual, 7-3 tournament, and 4-1 conference singles record… Led the team with the highest number of overall singles wins... Won eight consecutive singles matches in February and March, including wins over Santa Clara and Hawai'i... Competed primarily at No. 1, going 10-7 at the top of the lineup... Finished the year ranked No. 19 in the ITA Northwest Region... Had a 22-6 overall, 16-3 dual, and 6-3 tournament doubles record… Lead the team in overall doubles wins alongside partner Everett Maltby with 19 total… The duo went undefeated at No. 1 doubles in conference play, and was a perfect 5-0 at No. 2… Won the first eight matches that finished to start the dual season, including a 6-2 win over UCLA's Keegan Smith and Ben Goldberg at No. 2... Won nine of the last ten dual matches of the season... Finished the year as the No. 10 team in the ITA Northwest Region.

POINT LOMA HS ’17: Won the nation's top doubles title at the 2015 USTA Boys 16 National Championships at Kalamazoo College with partner Bryce Pereira... Won the San Diego CIF section doubles title with teammate Keegan Smith freshman year… Qualified to the section semifinals in singles as a sophomore… Entered his senior season ranked 26th nationally in boys 18 singles… Highest national ranking achieved in 2014 (13th)… 5-start recruit ranked 22nd nationally and 8th in California according to TennisRecruiting.net as of Aug. 25th, 2017… Overall record of 34-14, including a 12-3 record against other 5-star ranked recruits.
