2021: Won six of 11 singles matches, a total that includes his only one played at No. 4, which took place at Sacramento State (4/16)… Won three of four singles matchups at No. 5 and two of three at No. 6… Collected a pair of doubles victories, both at No. 3… One of those results took place with Dariush Jalali as his partner, he teamed up with Arjith Jayaraman for the other… Earned singles victories in three of his final four matches when the Aggies faced Sacramento State (4/16), UC Riverside (4/23) and Hawai’i at the Big West Men’s Tennis Championship (4/30)… Picked up singles victories against UC San Diego (3/7), San Francisco (3/12) and UC Santa Barbara (4/4)… Enjoyed an individual sweep against San Francisco when he and Jayaraman recorded a shutout victory during doubles play… Other doubles win took place alongside Jalali when their team hosted Hawai’i (4/10)… The team did not participate in any fall events due to COVID-19.
2019-20: ITA SCHOLAR-ATHLETE… Went 16-12 overall and 7-7 in dual singles play… Went an even 3-3 at No. 3, 3-3 at No. 4, and 1-1 at No. 5… Won five consecutive matches between Jan. 17-Feb. 8, including two three-setters… Defeated UTSA’s Javier Rodriguez 5-7, 6-3, 6-4 to help the Aggies to a 5-2 win over the Roadrunners… In the fall, beat two Pac-12 opponents in three sets, including Arizona’s Igor Karpovets in the first round at the Kramer Classic… At the ITA Northwest Regional, earned first career double bagel over EWU’s Matis Mats… Posted a 7-10 overall, 2-5 dual record in doubles… Partnered with Dariush Jalali to defeat San Francisco’s Mitch Johnson/Johan Garpered… Played the last three matches of the season at No. 1 with Ivan Thamma, going 1-2… Beat Santa Clara’s Arthur Neuhaus/Vasileios Iliopoulos 6-4 at No. 1 to clinch the doubles point… In the fall, reached the final of the Aggie Invitational B Flight with Jalali… Later faced teammates David Goulak and Thamma in the quarterfinals of the Kramer Classic… Currently tied for fifth in the Aggie record book with 12 career wins at No. 3 doubles… Remainder of the spring dual season was canceled on Mar. 12 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
2018-19: BIG WEST ATHLETE OF THE WEEK 1/15… ITA ALL-ACADEMIC SCHOLAR-ATHLETE… ITA ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM… BIG WEST ALL-ACADEMIC… Finished sophomore season with a 15-18 overall, 8-8 dual singles record, and a 13-18 overall, 6-11 dual doubles record… Won first career Big West Athlete of the Week after stellar singles play on the season’s opening doubleheader… Defeated Pacific’s Akram El Sallaly in three sets at No. 5 before claiming another three set victory over Fresno State’s Cagatay Soke at No. 4 to force doubles play in program’s second-ever win over the Bulldogs… Started the season with four consecutive singles wins between the No. 4-5 spots… Won the clinching match in the Aggies’ 6-1 Causeway Cup win over Sacramento State in three sets… Paired primarily with Dariush Jalali in doubles throughout the spring, and finished with a 5-8 record together… Best result came at No. 3, where the duo posted a 7-6 win over No. 5 USC’s Jake Sands and Jake DeVine to clinch the program’s first doubles point against the Trojans... Partnered with four different players throughout the fall tournaments.
2017-18: ITA ALL-ACADEMIC SCHOLAR-ATHLETE... ITA ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM... Finished with a 13-12 overall, 7-8 dual, and 2-2 conference singles record… Posted his best singles record of 6-5 playing at the No. 6 position… In the spring, recorded wins over Hawai'i, Cal Poly, and UC Riverside, and pushed No. 5 USC's Jake DeVine to a third set tiebreaker... Advanced to the round of 16 at the Pacific Tiger Invitational in the fall... In doubles, went 10-17 overall, and 7-10 in duals… Won six dual matches alongside Jonathan Star, all at No. 3 doubles... Also competed in portions of the fall and spring season with Arjith Jayaraman.
FOLSOM HS ’17: Before his junior season, he defeated a walk on athlete from UC Berkeley… Won the San Joaquin Section tournament, and was undefeated during season and post-season senior year… Advanced to the semifinals in both singles and doubles at the Sparetime Academy Adult Championships, as well as the quarterfinal in both the Laguna Creek Men’s Open Singles and the Nor Cal Section Championships in boys 18 singles in 2016… In academics, he got a seal of biliteracy in Spanish, and is a GPS program graduate.
PERSONAL: From Folsom, Calif… Majoring in Economics with a minor in Technology Management... Plans to pursue a career in financial services… Parents are Rita and Bill… Has a younger brother Kieran... His proudest personal accomplishment is being an ITA Scholar Athlete… If he could play another sport at UC Davis, it would be basketball… Interned at River City Bank in the summer of 2018... Interned at Bank of America in the summer of 2019... Lists favorite player as Roger Federer... Chose UC Davis because it is a great academic school and has a great tennis program.
