Game Notes: UC Davis  |  Sacramento State

DAVIS, Calif. – A season-long five-game road swing will continue Tuesday evening when UC Davis heads to the Golden 1 Center to face cross-Causeway rival Sacramento State. This is the third time the downtown home of the Sacramento Kings hosted this contest, the Aggies won the first two games and would love nothing more than to extend this streak in addition to its current three-game overall win streak.

Before Tuesday's game, UC Davis Athletics will host a pregame event at Punch Bowl Social, a stone's throw from the arena itself, starting at 5 p.m. This is a free event, with food and drinks provided.

Sacramento State is the designated home team for this neutral-site matchup, this is the third game of a four-year agreement involving both schools and the Golden 1 Center.

This is the 117th time the Aggies and Hornets will face one another. Sacramento State holds a 66-50 all-time advantage, but UC Davis has done a great job closing that gap in recent seasons by winning six of the last eight.

Even though the Aggies have enjoyed a high level of success in rivalry games throughout the Jim Les era, these games are always competitive; three of the last five have been decided by six or fewer points.

The longest road trip of the season will end on Friday when the Aggies visit Indiana, but before they head to Bloomington, they will face a Sacramento State team that only played one game this season. That game took place at home against Simpson.

Sacramento State would have played Cal Poly at home last Friday, but this matchup was postponed due to poor air quality.

There is no video stream of this game, but fans can still follow the action by tuning to Sports 1140 AM KHTK or online through the station's TuneIn channel. A live stats link is available at, in-game Twitter updates are also available on the team's handle, @UCDavisMBB.

Fans can purchase tickets in advance at, or at the Golden 1 Center box office. All seating is general admission.
