STOCKTON, Calif. - Aggie doubles duo of senior Everett Maltby and freshman Ivan Thamma continue their tournament slate in the doubles main draw, while in single play, UC Davis finished with multiple First Round consolation victories after day two of the ITA Northwest Regional Championships in Stockton, Calif.

Starting off the tournament day with doubles play, Maltby and Thamma defeated Gonzaga's Bryan Husin and Emilio Moreno, 8-6, in the Round of 64, followed by another win in the Round of 32 over the No. 8 seeded-duo Mathieu Garcia and Mike Perwolarakis of Portland, 8-3.

For the First Round of singles consolation play, the UC Davis men's team finished strong by earning six wins out of six total match ups. Freshmen Arjith Jayaraman and Thamma defeated Portland's Avery West, 4-6, 6-3, 1-0(7), and Gonzaga's Simon Homedes in straight-sets, 6-1, 6-2, respectively, while senior Tommy Lam defeated Cal's Can Kaya in the third set of their match, 6-4, 6-7(2), 1-0(5). Freshmen Chethan Swanson and Dariush Jalali advanced to the Second Round of singles consolation play due to opponent walk-overs, while Maltby was placed on a bye.

Sophomore David Goulak qualified up to the Round of 32 in the singles main draw, but it was Ty Gentry from Oregon that ended their match with a win.

The other two UC Davis doubles teams both faced match defeats against their respective opponents. The No. 4 seeded Aggie duo of Goulak and Lam played against Gonzaga's Sam Feit and Ruadhan O'Sullivan, while the doubles team with sophomores Mitchell Iwahiro and Jonathan Star were on the courts with the No. 9 seeded duo Jacob Brumm and Jack Molloy from Cal.
