ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Freshmen sprinters Mikaela Adolphus and Natsumi McGee didn't waste any time making their marks with the UC Davis women's indoor track and field team after turning in strong marks on Friday at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic.

Adolphus, a first-year Aggie from Los Angeles, turned in a time of 24.65 seconds in the 200-meter dash which vaulted her to No. 3 on UC Davis' all-time list in just her first meet. She finished 23rd in the competitive event at New Mexico.

McGee is a freshman from Cosumnes Oaks High School in Elk Grove, pushed her way into the all-time list in the 60 with her prelim time of 7.81 seconds. That ties her with Kelli Enos, who ran that same mark in 2003, for fifth place.

Freshman Emily Antonino debuted in the 600-meter run, an event only run indoors, and posted a strong mark of 1:35.58 to finish sixth.

UC Davis continues action at the meet on Saturday.
