GLENCOE, Ill. -- Junior Ben Corfee shot an even-par 71 over the final 18 holes to finish at 1-under for the tournament, while senior Patrick Soli finished at 1-under for the day, helping lead the UC Davis men's golf team to a fifth-place finish at the Windon Memorial Classic on Monday in Glencoe, Illinois.

Corfee and Soli each posted top-20 finishes, ending the tournament in a tie for 14th and 17th, respectively. After playing the front nine at 1-over, Corfee finished strong, closing with birdies on three of the final five holes to finish at even par for the day and tied for 14th for the tournament.

Soli also finished strong, closing with a pair of birdies in the final three holes on the front nine and back-to-back on 17 and 18 to close out his day, shooting his second straight round of 70 to end the tournament at even par and a tie for 17th.

Senior Luke Vivolo recovered from a rough front nine with a pair of birdies on the back side to finish at 1-over for the day and the tournament to end in a tie for 22nd.

Freshman Ryan Knop ended the day at 2-over and finished tied for 35th at 5-over for the tournament, while sophomore Jesse Bratz was two shots back of his teammate in a tie for 44th with a 7-over 220.

Purdue took home team honors with a tournament record 22-under 830, finishing 15 shots ahead of second-place Michigan. The Aggies finished just two shots back of Princeton for fourth and one shot ahead of sixth-place Ohio State. The Boilermakers' Brian Carlson took home medalist honors with a 6-under 207 to win by two shots.

UC Davis takes the next two weeks off before closing out its fall schedule with a trip to the Alister MacKenzie Invitational host by California on Oct. 12-13.
