2015 Husky Invitational - Final Results

CLE ELUM, Wash. -- UC Davis freshman Ryan Knop carded seven birdies en route to a 2-under 69 on Tuesday, helping the Aggies jump four spots and finish tie for seventh at the 2015 Husky Invitational at the Tumble Creek Course at Suncadia Resort in Cle Elum, Washington.

Host Washington and Oregon tied for the team championship at 13-over, following closely by day one leader Oregon State at 17-over, and USC in fourth at 18-over. The Aggies, who stood in a tie for 11th after 36 holes on Monday, turned in their best round of the tournament over the final 18 holes, finishing 5-over as a team en route to a score of 41-over for the tournament, sharing the spot with Washington State.

Knop's 69 was tied for the third-lowest round of the day, opening the final round on the back nine and recording four birdies to offset a double bogey on 13 and a bogey on 17 en route to a 1-under 34. Making the turn, Knop finished off the round with birdies on four, seven, and nine, to card a 1-under 35 on the front, completing his lowest round of his brief collegiate career and finishing tied for 28th overall, up from a tie for 53rd after 36 holes.

After finishing the first two rounds in the top 10, senior Patrick Soli scuffled a bit in Tuesday's final round, shooting a 8-over 79 to finish in a tie for 34th with teammate Jesse Bratz and five other players at 12-over. Bratz ended the tournament with his best round of the event, playing the back nine at even par before finishing with a 2-over 73.

Senior Ben Corfee shot a second-consecutive 5-over 76 to finish in a tied for 43rd at 14-over, opening the day with four birdies en route to a 1-under 34 on the back nine, while teammate Luke Vivolo carded his second-lowest round of the season with an even-par 71 on Tuesday, to finish in a tie for 50th at 16-over for the tournament, closing out the day with four birdies on the front nine, including back-to-back on the final two holes.

Washington's Corey Pereira took home individual medalist honors with a 7-under 206 for the 54-hole event, narrowly edging out USC's Sean Crocker, who was one shot back. Idaho's Jacob Scarrow posted the lowest score of the day, finishing with a 5-under 66 to finish tied for 12th at 6-over.

Meanwhile, at the Husky Individual tournament held at the Suncadia Prospector Course, freshman Evan Knight saved his best for last, shooting a 2-over 74 in Tuesday's final round -- including an eagle on the par-5 fourth -- to jump nine spots after day one and finish 21st overall.

UC Davis returns to the course on Sunday, Sept. 27, when the Aggies open play at the Windon Memorial Tournament hosted by Northwestern in Glencoe, Ill.
