Husky Invitational Results - Rounds 1 & 2

CLE ELUM, Wash. -- Senior Patrick Soli shot a 4-over 146 to finish tied for ninth after 36 holes on Monday, highlighting the UC Davis men's golf teams efforts through the first two rounds of the 2015 Husky Invitational at the Tumble Creek Club at Suncadia Resort in Cle Elum, Washington.

Following a 3-over 74 in the opening round, the San Carlos, California, native was three shots better in round two, bouncing back from a double bogey on the fourth hole, recording three birdies and finishing the round at even par to finish with a 1-over 72 -- the low round of the day by an Aggie -- and make his push into the top 10.

As a team, the Aggies are at 36-over and tied with BYU for 11th place, trailing Gonzaga by three shots for a spot in the top 10. A quartet of Pac-12 squads lead the way as Oregon State finished the 36 holes at 10-over, edging host and No. 19-ranked Washington and No. 15 Oregon, which are tied for second at 15-over, while No. 5 USC is fourth at 16-over.

Senior Ben Corfee, who opened with a 1-under 35 on the front nine during his opening round -- including an eagle on the par-5 eighth -- shot a 9-over 151 to finish in a tie for 32nd, making five birdies overall over the first two rounds. Sophomore Jesse Bratz, making his first start of the season, was one shot back of his teammate in a tie for 37th, while freshman Ryan Knop, who also eagled the par-5 eighth, finished with a 13-over 155, to tie for 53rd. Senior Luke Vivolo, who shot a 16-over 158, finished 64th, to round of the group.

Corfee, Bratz, and Knop, all shared team honors with five birdies on the day.

Individually, on the par-72 Suncadia Prospector Course, sophomore Evan Knight finished in a tie for 30th at 15-over as part of the Husky Individual event, rebounding from a first-round 82, to card a 5-over 77 in round two.

The tournament concludes with the final 18 holes on Tuesday (Sept. 22) with the first group teeing off at 7:20 a.m. Live scoring for the final round will be available at https://www.birdiefire.com/tournament/14903/.
