FULLERTON, Calif. -- UC Davis senior Sydnee Fipps scored 20 of her team-high 27 points after halftime and the Aggies rallied from five points down late in the second half to pull away for a 74-67, back-and-forth, overtime win at Cal State Fullerton on Thursday night at Titan Gym.

It marked the fourth consecutive win for UC Davis, which improved to 12-10 overall and 7-3 in Big West Conference play, sweeping the regular season series from the Titans. Fullerton lost its fourth consecutive contest, falling to 9-13 overall and 3-6 in conference play.

"The team brought it themselves, they understand what's on the line here," Head Coach Jennifer Gross said. "Every game from here on out is just so crucial, and every time we play Fullerton it comes down to the wire and it's a battle because both teams want it so badly. I was so proud that the effort came from everybody on our team. Every single person contributed."

Fipps tied a season high by hitting 10-of-14 from the floor, including a quartet of three-pointers, to lead three Aggies in double figures. It was her seventh 20-point game of the year and the 30th of her career -- just one shy of the school record held by Staci Stevens.

Junior Alyson Doherty finished with 16 points seven rebounds before fouling out with a minute to play in the extra period, while freshman Dani Nafekh also finished in double figures with 12 points, including four key free throws in overtime as Fullerton pulled close in the final two minutes. Junior Celia Marfone finished with a game-high 12 rebounds -- her team-high sixth double-digit rebounding game of the season.

Chante Miles finished with a game-high 33 points to pace the Titans, who were held to just 38 percent for the game from the floor.

A 9-0 Fullerton run late in the second half erased a 54-49 UC Davis lead as Miles and Kathleen Iwuoha combined for all of those points to put the Titans up four with 5:48 to play. Fipps slashed to the hoop to stop the bleeding and cut it to two, but Miles nailed a deep three to put Fullerton up five and set up the Aggies' rally.

Fipps hit 1-of-2 from the line out of a Fullerton timeout and then drained a three-pointer with 3:46 to play to make it a one-point game before Doherty hit another from the line to tie it a minute later.

Miles hit a free throw to put the Titans ahead by one, which stood for the longest time as both teams went cold, going a combined 0-for-3 with two misses from the line and a pair of turnovers. With time winding down, and Fullerton looking to put it away, Doherty swiped the ball away inside and Fipps was fouled, nailing the first of two to tie it up once again.

The Titans had one last chance, but Tailer Butler missed a three-pointer from the right corner as time expired, sending it to overtime.

In the extra period, the Aggies came out firing, scoring the first six points on buckets by Celia Marfone, Doherty, and Fipps, to go up 68-62 with 2:27 to play. Fullerton got no closer than three points on a three-pointer by Butler with 36 seconds to play as UC Davis hit 6-of-6 from the line down the stretch to ice the game.

The Aggies shot just over 52 percent from the floor for the game, topping the mark for the third consecutive contest. UC Davis also got a huge boost from the bench, outscoring their counterparts, 19-6, for the game.

Following a week off, the Aggies return to the court next Thursday (Feb. 19), hosting Long Beach State at 7 p.m., before traveling to Hawai'i on Saturday (Feb. 21).
