SEASIDE, Calif. - Luke Vivolo collected four birdies on the back nine of the Black Horse Golf Course on Monday to spark his 3-under 69 and lead the UC Davis men's golf team at the Saint Mary's Invitational.

The Aggies are 18 over and in 11th place after two rounds after rounds of 304 and 290. Vivolo is tied for 14th at par. Freshman Ryan Han is 3 over and tied for 26th while Matt Seramin is 8 over and tied for 49th with teammate Nicolas Noya. Freshman Patrick Soli is 11 over and tied for 68th while Will Brink, playing as an individual, is in 92nd at 26 over.

Host Saint Mary's is 6 under and leads second-place San Diego (-1) by five strokes while San Francisco (+3), Fresno State (+6) and Pacific (+6) round out the top five.

Mathias Dahl of San Diego fired a 7-under 65 in the second round and is 7 under overall. He leads two players by two shots.

Vivolo opened his day with a 72 on the Bayonet Golf Course before carding birdies on the 10th, 12th, 16th and 18th holes to help him shoot 69 on the Black Horse Golf Course, the other course being utilized in the tournament.

Han shot 74 in the first round but played the back nine of the course in his second round 2 under to help him finish with 73.

Both Seramin and Noya improved their first-round scores during the second round. Seramin opened with a 77 but shot 75 in the afternoon, keyed by two birdies. Noya bounced back from an opening-round 79 to shoot 73 in the second. He had three birdies and 11 pars in the second round.

Soli had rounds of 78 and 77, picking up seven birdies on Monday. Brink had an 89 in the first round but showed an eight-shot improvement with an 81 in the second.

Tuesday's final round begins at 8 a.m.
