Box Score

STOCKTON, Calif. - UC Davis led 2-1 entering the final minutes of Saturday's match at Pacific Field Hockey Turf until the Tigers scored the equalizer with 2:59 left in regulation, and the game winner nearly six minutes into overtime to down the Aggies, in Stockton, by a 3-2 score.

UC Davis fell to 4-10 while Pacific improved to 5-9.

Pacific jumped out to an early 1-0 lead when Alicia Muinos tallied her first goal of the season in the 11th minute.

That lead held for the next 26 minutes until Agustina Singh collected her team-high 14th and 15th points of the season by scoring her fourth goal of the year. Earning her first assist of the season on that play was Sophia Lisaius.

As a freshman last season, Singh finished with two goals and seven points in her debut season. By hitting the back of the cage Saturday afternoon in Stockton, the San Jose native doubled her first-year totals with three regular season matches still remaining (in addition to at least one, and as many as three postseason contests at next month's NorPac Tournament).

Tied at 1-1 entering halftime, that score remained untouched until the 60th minute when Wigney also captured her fourth goal of the season. Her clutch goal pushed the Aggies ahead, 2-1, with 10 minutes remaining.

Led by their two goal scorers who recorded three apiece, the Aggies outshot the Tigers 14-10. Lisaius and Stephie Sabraw each took two shots against the Tigers, Lauren Copeland, Martha Duterte, Jamie Garcia and Kristin Rodgers each recorded one.

In the first half, it was UC Davis that found a way to even the score before the end of the half; in the 68th minute, it was Pacific's turn to draw even when Kyleigh Morrison found the back of the cage to force sudden-death overtime.

Throughout two full matches, last weekend at UC Davis and throughout regulation in Saturday's battle, the Aggies did a phenomenal job containing Ali Campos, the league's leading scorer. Last week, she posted only three shots; in this weekend's rematch, she recorded a team-high five.

Unlike last week's Senior Day event in Davis when the former Iowa Hawkeye was held scoreless in a matchup that the Aggies won by a 2-1 score, Campos was responsible for Saturday's deciding swing as she scored the golden goal 5:57 into overtime to help her team secure a season split against UC Davis.

Saturday's overtime duel was the Aggies' first since its 3-2 heartbreaker at UMass Lowell on Sept. 27, and fourth of the season. That result was recorded two days after the Aggies earned their first overtime victory of 2014 by defeating Bryant, 2-1, on its home turf.

UC Davis will continue its season-long four-match road trip on Oct. 24, at Louisville, and at Miami (OH) two days later. This two-match, Midwest swing will take place before the Aggies' Halloween season finale at nationally ranked Stanford.
