Round 3 Results
RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. - Freshman Jonny Baxter turned in his first career top-10 finish, coming in ninth place at three over after the final day of action at The Farms Collegiate Invitational in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.
UC Davis, which had only four players available for competition for the duration of the tournament, finished eighth overall, which matches their highest finish of the year. The Aggies came in at 48-over 912.
San Diego State, ranked 15th nationally by Golfstat, won the tournament at two under while Saint Mary's finished in second at 10 over. Missouri and UC Irvine tied for third at 29 over.
Baxter was UC Davis' top performer in two of three rounds in a tournament that featured all four Aggies in the top 50 of the standings. He fired a 3-under 33 on his back nine to finish at 75 for the day and three over for the tournament.
Luke Vivolo tied for 26th, Josh Granger tied for 34th and Mike Brockington tied for 36th.
Granger was the Aggies' low scorer of the day, improving on his first and second round scores by five strokes for a third-round score of 74. Vivolo turned in a 76 while Brockington carded an 80 in each of their final rounds to round out the Aggie scoring.
UC Davis' next tournament will be the Oregon Duck Invitational Mar. 26-27 at the Eugene Country Club in Eugene, Ore.
