AGGIES HIT THE ROAD FOR LAKESIDE CLASSIC
The UC Davis men's soccer team travels east to participate in the Lakeside Classic Sept. 16-18 in Evanston, Ill.
UC Davis plays host Northwestern on Friday at 5 p.m. (PT).
The Aggies follow that with a Sunday match against Northern Illinois at 9:30 a.m. (PT).

SCOUTING NORTHWESTERN
Northwestern owns a 1-3-1 overall record after dropping two late matches against Portland and Valparaiso over the weekend.
The Wildcats return 17 letterwinners and six starters from last year's team which went 8-8-2 overall and 2-3-1 in Big Ten play.
Senior forward Oliver Krupe owns three goals already this year while sophomore Reed Losee has recorded a team-leading 13 shots.
True freshman Tyler Miller has started four matches in goal for the Wildcats and has recorded seven saves while allowing three goals.

UC Davis and Northwestern meet for the first time in program history on Friday.
SCOUTING NORTHERN ILLINOIS
Northern Illinois is still unbeaten on the year after claiming wins over Valparaiso and Portland at the NIU/adidas Invitational last weekend.
The Huskies are currently ranked 13th nationally in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) poll... NIU is also ranked 25th by Soccer Times and 26th by College Soccer News.
Freshman Paul Hogan leads the team offensively with three goals on the year while sophomore Karim Darbaki has contributed two goals and two assists.
Junior goalkeeper Jordan Godsey has allowed only two goals in over 450 minutes in the net for a 0.40 goals against average.
ALL-TIME AGAINST THE HUSKIES
Sunday's matchup is the first meeting in program history for UC Davis and Northern Illinois.
UC DAVIS HOLDS CSU BAKERSFIELD TO SCORELESS TIE
UC Davis and CSU Bakersfield battled to a scoreless tie on Sunday at Aggie Soccer Field.
The `Runners took 23 shots to UC Davis' 11 and won 12 corner kicks... Gyasi Zardes led all players with nine shots.
Omar Zeenni recorded a career-high seven saves and picked up his second straight shutout of the weekend.
MANELLA'S OT GOAL TOPS OREGON STATE
Freshman Eddie Manella's overtime golden goal led UC Davis to a 1-0 win over Oregon State on Friday.
Manella led all players with six shots while Matt Sheldon, Alex Henry and Alex Aguiar each took three shots apiece.
UC Davis outshot Oregon State 24-7 and won four corner kicks.
JUST A LITTLE EXTRA
Sunday's game against CSU Bakersfield marked the fourth straight overtime match for UC Davis, which ties a program record for consecutive OT games.
Four straight OT games last occurred Oct. 20-29, 1994 and the Aggies went 1-1-2 during that span.
ZEENNI RANKING WITH TOP GKS NATIONALLY
Sophomore goalkeeper Omar Zeenni currently ranks in the top-25 nationally in goals against average and save percentage.
He owns a 0.526 goals against average which is 22nd-best in the country.
His 0.864 save percentage ranks him 24th nationally.
AGGIES IN THE BIG WEST
Eddie Manella: 6th in shots (17), 7th in shots per game (3.40).
Omar Zeenni: 3rd in goals against average (0.53), 2nd in save percentage (.864), T-2nd in saves (19), T-2nd saves per game (3.80), T-4th in shutouts (2).
IN THE MIX
UC Davis has seen a mix of players contribute offensively through the early parts of the season.
Four different players have scored the Aggies' four goals: Alex Aguiar, Alex Henry, Eddie Manella and Kevin Schulte.
Additionally, four different players have assisted those goals: Eddie Manella, John Joslin, Mustafa Chopan and Ethan Shawlee.
16 different Aggies have registered shots so far this year.

UC Davis returns to Aggie Soccer Field for three straight home games, beginning with a Causeway Cup match against Sacramento State on Friday, Sept. 23 at 4 p.m.
Big West Conference play begins Sept. 28 as the Aggies host Cal State Northridge at 3 p.m.
