MISSION VIEJO, Calif. - The UC Davis men's golf team holds an eight-stroke lead over the rest of the field as the Aggies lead the 2011 Big West Men's Golf Championship after the first day of action at the Mission Viejo Country Club in Mission Viejo.

UC Davis finished even through the first two rounds and is followed in the standings by Pacific which is in second at 8-over and third-place Cal Poly which sits at 11-over.

In the individual standings, senior Austin Graham shot a 2-under 70 in both rounds and leads all players, but maintains a slim one-stroke lead over Cal State Northridge's Nick Delio.

Graham's first round was highlighted by four birdies on his front nine as well as an eagle on the par-5 14th hole as he finished at 2-under. He maintained a steady second round that featured four birdies, all of which came on his front nine, and 12 total pars. He was at 4-under as he began his back nine, but bogeys on the 13th and 16th holes resulted in his 2-under finish.

The junior used seven pars on his back nine to stay at 1-under 71 for the first round. He finished at 3-over at the end of a second round that featured an eagle on the par-5 17th.

Hansen finished at 2-under for the first round as he shot par on 12 holes and shot four birdies, but a second round score of 78 resulted in a 4-over 148 for the day.
