AUBURN, Wash. - Junior Tyler Raber carded five birdies en route to a final-round 3-under 69 on Tuesday - the Aggies' best score of the day - and helping the UC Davis men's golf team finish in a tie for ninth at the Kikkor Golf Husky Invitational at Washington National Golf Club.

Raber finished in a tie for 16th at 1-over 217 for the Aggies who shot 6-over 294 on Tuesday, tying in the standings with Pacific and Washington State. Freshman Matt Hansen followed his spectacular 3-under score over the first 36 holes on Monday with a 73 in the last, tying for 10th in his collegiate debut at 2-under 214.

Josh Granger had a 77 and tied for 48th at 226, Austin Graham finished with a 76, tying for 59th at 229, and Andrew Haggen carded a 76 to place 62nd at 230.

Pepperdine had a collective team score of 7-under 281 on Tuesday, winning by seven shots at 847 over host Washington which was 10 under. San Diego State (859) was third, 12 shots off the pace, while Texas A&M (869) and Idaho (871) rounded out the top five.

Raber bogeyed his first hole on Tuesday - the par-4, 10th - but then had two birdies and six pars over the remainder of the front nine to make the turn two under. Three birdies and just on bogey helped him play his back nine even, leading to his 69 - the second of the week for UC Davis which received the same score on Monday from Hansen.

Hansen played a steady third round, carding 14 pars and a pair of birdies to help him come in with a 73. Granger had four birdies over his first nine holes, Graham had three in his round and Haggen finished with four.

First-day leader Josh Anderson of Pepperdine shot 68, ending the 54-hole event at 10-under 206 and posting a four-shot win over teammate Andrew Putnam. Fifteen players finished the tournament at par or better.

Jarred Bossio of Idaho and Cameron Peck of Texas A&M set a new course by each shooting 9-under 63.

UC Davis will play at the Windon Memorial Classic at Northwestern on Sunday and Monday.
