STANFORD, Calif. - Senior Brent Booth fired a final-round 1-under 69 on Tuesday while senior Austin Graham carded a 70 as the UC Davis men's golf team improved its score for the second straight day on its way to a tie for 16th at the U.S. Intercollegiate at Stanford Golf Course.

The Aggies, who had a 7-over 287 during Monday's second round, beat that with a 286 on Tuesday, ending the 54-hole tournament at 46-over 886 and tying Lamar on the leaderboard. The event featured several highly ranked teams, including four in the top 10.

Sixth-ranked Oregon - which also had the medalist in Daniel Miernicki - took home top honors with a three-shot win over No. 33 San Diego State. The Ducks were the only team to break par, carding a three-round total of 1-under 839.

Booth had his best round of the tournament, firing five birdies. He got as low as two under before countering a double-bogey down the stretch with a biride on the par-4 13th - his 16th hole of the day - to push him back in the red. He tied for 64th overall at 12-over.

Buoyed by his second straight round at par or better, Graham finished tied for 31st at 5-over 215. He had birdies on two of his first three holes and then added two more to go three shots under par before three bogeys and five pars brought him in with a 70.

Sophomore Tyler Raber also had a solid round, combining two birdies and 13 pars for his seven straight round of 71. He tied for 57th at 11-over. Sophomore Tim Honeycutt shot 76 and tied for 87th while redshirt freshman Andrew Haggen had an 81 and placed 105th.

Miernicki blitzed the course for a 64 in the final round, securing medalist honors with a three-shot win at 8-under and winning an accompanying automatic exemption to the PGA Tour's Reno-Tahoe Open.

UC Davis will be off until competing at the Big West Conference Championships on May 3-4. The Aggies are defending champions and will be looking to earn a spot in their second straight NCAA West Regional.
