LAKESIDE, Calif. - Seven birdies lifted senior Brent Booth to a 4-under 68 on Friday in the final round of the Barona Collegiate Cup while sophomore Tim Honeycutt had five over his final nine holes on his way to 71 and helping the UC Davis men's golf team move up to ninth place in the final standings.

UC Davis had a final-round team score of 365 - its best of the 54-hole tournament - finishing at 39-over 1,119. The Aggies finished four shots in front of 10th-place Wyoming and just three back of eighth-place UC Santa Barbara. Each team had six players with the five lowest scores comprising the team score.

Host San Diego State, ranked No. 35, posted a comfortable 22-shot win over UC Irvine atop the team leaderboard. The Aztecs carded a three-round score of 8-under 1,072. Top-ranked Oregon was third at 17-over and was followed by Nevada (+18) and Northwestern (+24) in the top five.

Booth and Austin Graham posted top-20 finishes for the Aggies. Booth tied for 14th at 2-over 218 while Graham, who had a 72 on Friday, was a shot back in a tie for 17th. Honeycutt tied for 30th at 6-over, Andrew Haggen tied for 64th, Tyler Raber tied for 73rd and Josh Granger placed 79th.

Booth posted five birdies - he had seven overall - on his last 10 holes including the par-5 first and the par-4 second. His round of 68 was his second-lowest of the season.

Honeycutt, who started on the 10th hole, began his last round with a pair of bogeys and then went to 3-over at his turn. However, five birdies including three over the final four holes, helped push his score on the course's front nine to 4-under 32.

Four birdies helped Graham get three shots under par midway through his final-round 72, delivering him his eighth top-20 finish of the year. Raber had four birdies while shooting 76 on Friday, Granger had a pair and Haggen had two, each of them carding 78.

UC Irvine's John Chin posted a three-round total of 12-under 204, winning by three shots over Johan Carlsson of San Diego State.
