Graham Tied For 17th At USC Collegiate

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. - - Four birdies in the second round helped junior Austin Graham post a 2-under 70 on Monday, putting him a tie for 17th at par after two rounds of the USC Collegiate Invitational being played at North Ranch Country Club.

UC Davis, which had rounds of 291 and 292, is tied for 12th with San Diego State at 15-over 583. The tournament is one of the toughest the Aggies will play this season, featuring 11 teams ranked among Golfstat's top 50 including three in the top 10.

Sophomore Tyler Raber had the best round of the day for the Aggies, firing a 3-under 68 in the second round and is tied for 36th at 3-over. Redshirt freshman Andrew Haggen is one shot behind Raber in a tie for 39th. Senior Brent Booth opened his day with a 73 and is tied for 74th at 11-over. Junior Tim Honeycutt is in 77th at 15-over.

Sixth-ranked Oregon blistered the course for a 7-under 277 in the second round and is leading at 12-over, five shots in front of No. 12 Arizona State. Pepperdine is third at 3-under while No. 8 UCLA and No. 16 USC are each two under.

The Aggies, who lead 18th-ranked Oregon State by a stroke, are just four shots behind 11th-place BYU which is 11 over.

Graham opened his second round with a birdie and was at 1-over before carding birdies on the par-5 eighth and par-4 10th to get in the red which is where he stayed with a 70. Raber finished his second round in strong fashion, moving from 1-over to three under with an eagle on the eighth hole and then later posting three straight birdies.

Highlighted by three birdies, Haggen had a 72 in the morning while Booth had three and Honeycutt two with Booth finishing the first round at 73 and Honeycutt with a 74.

T.J. Vogel of USC is at 9-under after capping his day with a spectacular round of 63. He leads Eugene Wong of Oregon by one shot.

The final round starts at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
