Final 2009 Cowboy Classic Results in PDF Format 
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - The No. 26 UC Davis men's golf team shot a school-record 267 in Tuesday's final round, sophomore Austin Graham won his second tournament of the year, and the Aggies rolled to their third straight win at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic with a 16-shot win.
Graham fired a 3-under 67 on Tuesday - one of an impressive four Aggie rounds in the 60's - to make up a four-shot deficit and beat Morten Madsen of Oregon State by one stroke at 6-under 204. UC Davis, which also posted its second win of the season, had two others among the top five places. Senior Nate Pistacchio carded a 66 and tied for third at 4-under 206 while senior Ramie Sprinkling tied for fifth after a 68 put him at 3-under 207.
Brent Booth, who tied Pistacchio for team-scoring honors in the final round with a 66, tied for 15th at even-par while freshman Tyler Raber had his second straight 72 and tied for 44th at 217.
The Aggies shot a tournament-record 15-under 825 at the 7,133-yard Talking Stick Golf Club North Course, highlighted by its 267 over the final 18 holes which was also the best-ever in the event. It eclipsed UCLA's 268 in 2004.
UC Davis captured the Wyoming Cowboy Classic for the third consecutive year but didn't need to rally as it did last year when it edged Grand Canyon for the title. The Aggies took a two-shot lead over Northwestern into Tuesday's final round but easily pulled away from the field to win by a decisive 16 strokes.
Oregon State was second at 1-over 841, UTEP was third at 2-over, San Diego grabbed fourth at 3-over and Fresno State rounded out the top five with a 5-over 845.
The victory was the team's second of the year, joining its first-place at the season-opening Kansas Invitational in September which was also won by Graham. His win on Tuesday was the team's fifth in 10 events, joining a pair by Sprinkling and co-medalist honors by Nate Pistacchio at The Prestige at PGA WEST in October.
The Aggies also continued a season in which they have finished in the top 10 in nine of their 10 tournaments, and either first or second in six.
UC Davis had a then school-record 271 in Monday's second round which surpassed its season-best 274 from the Michigan Wolverine Intercollegiate in September.
The trio of top-10 individual finishes gives the Aggies 17 for the year. They have 12 individual performances among the top five.
UC Davis will try to keep the momentum going when it travels to the U.S. Intercollegiate at Stanford next week.
