DAVIS, Calif. - The UC Davis men's and women's track and field team continued their training for the upcoming outdoor season by hosting their annual Blue-Gold Intrasquad Meet on Saturday at Woody Wilson Track with the Blue squad winning 137-121.
Both Aggie teams will open their seasons on March in a quadrangular meet at Stanford with Cal, Stanford and Fresno State.
Saturday's intrasquad meet featured many highlights. Among those on the men's side were the following:
Triple jump - Igor Seriba, 47-7
Pole vault - Jamie Feaster, 15-7
Discus - Jake Fuller, 160-5
Shot put - Ed Orgon, 50-2
Javelin - Brock Bennett, 177-3
High jump - Ben Nelson, 6-9
400 Hurdles - Thomas Phillips, 53.03; Nolan Frazier, 53.71
400 - Micah Grant, 49.30
100HH - Jazz Trice, 14.16; Polly Gnepa, 14.38
1,500 - Jonathan Peterson, 3:51.41.
Highlights for the Aggie women included the following:
Hammer throw - Chidinma Onyewuenyi, 176-3; Ashley Hearn, 168-11
Discus - Ashley Hearn, 156-1
Triple jump - Stephanie Eckels, 38-4
Long jump - Stephanie Eckels, 18-2; Sirena Williams, 17-10
Pole vault - Tessa Fraser, 12-1
Javelin - Brittany Bickel, 133-0
100 Hurdles - Sirena Williams, 14.20
400 Hurdles - Sirena Williams, 1:02.80
1,500 - Kim Conley, 4:26.90
