SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Despite a game-high five goals by UC Davis senior attacker Katie McMahon, Le Moyne College overcame a two-goal deficit to rally in the second half to an 11-9 win over the Aggies in non-conference women's collegiate lacrosse action at the Niland Athletic Center Wednesday.

UC Davis moves to 3-6 for the year. Le Moyne, a Division I independent and former Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference champion, improves to 5-4 overall.

Senior midfielder Katie McGovern added two goals for the Aggies, while junior Patrice Clark and sophomore Olivia Jarem each scored once. Jacklyn Taylor had the team's lone assist, feeding McMahon's first goal as part of a 4-0 run in the opening six minutes of play.

Midfielder Rebekah Elmer and attackers Michelle Lissner, Whitney Vecchio and Kylie Rosette tallied two goals each for the Dolphins. Lissner also recorded a pair of assists.

After surrendering a Rosette goal in the opening minutes, UC Davis scored four straight to craft a 4-1 lead through the 5:52 mark. McMahon completed her hat trick in the 14th minute to lift the Aggies to a 5-3 lead, but LeMoyne's Vecchio scored a goal and assist to tie the game at 5-5. McGovern and Clark each hit eight-meter goals to push UC Davis back up to a 7-5 lead before Elmer trimmed the lead to one goal by the halftime break.

Lissner scored two early goals in the second half to provide the Dolphins with an 8-7 edge, then McMahon scored her fourth goal at the 38:19 mark to knot the score back to 8-8. However, Le Moyne scored the next three to seal the win. The Dolphins outshot their guests by a 14-7 margin in the second half.

The Aggies continue their New York-Connecticut road trip with a game at Canisius on Friday.
