Complete Callaway Golf results from Monday in PDF Format 
RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. - Senior Matt Marshall shot a second-round 2-under 70 on Monday and is tied for seventh at even-par as UC Davis ended the first 36 holes of the 2008 Callaway Golf Invitational, hosted by the University of San Diego, in sixth place.
The tournament, being played at the 6,911-yard course at The Farms Golf Club, features 15 teams and is the first for UC Davis since its finished second at the Rice Intercollegiate last month.
Marshall, who opened his day with a 74, is just four shots out of the lead shared by Ryan Spears and Dustin Garza of Wichita State and Joshua Kelley of Saint Mary's. Marshall is one shot ahead of two other players with 15 golfers within six shots of the lead heading into Tuesday's final round.
UC Davis has three golfers among the top 28 places. Besides Marshall, the Aggies have Nate Pistacchio tied for 15th at 3-over 147 and freshman Austin Graham tied for 28th at 6-over 150. Both players had 73's on the first day to help their standing.
Phil Huffman is tied for 43rd for UC Davis at 153 while Ramie Sprinkling is tied for 62nd at 156.
UC Davis is in sixth place at 18-over 594 after matching rounds of 297, five shots behind Big West Conference foe UC Santa Barbara. College of Charleston is four shots behind the Aggies in seventh.
Wichita State is the only team to end Monday below par, shooting rounds of 280 and 290. Host San Diego is at par while Saint Mary's is in third at 3-over 579.
The final round on Tuesday tees off at 7:45 a.m.
